The bizhub C203 can scan a paper document and convert the data into PDF files, compact PDF files, encrypted PDF files, TIFF or JPEG files. It can scan color or black-and-white document at 70 pages / min and let you to distribute the data in various ways, including scan to FTP, scan to e-mail, scan to SMB, scan to BOX, USB Memory and TWAIN scan.

In order to save your time and speed up the distribution of documents, the bizhub C203 allows you to save a scanned document in a BOX, email or fax to multiple destinations at the same time with a single operation. The bizhub C203 is among the first MFPs to be Windows Vista-ready.

The Secure/Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (S/MIME) is an international standard for encrypting email and signing email encapsulated in MIME. With the S/MIME function, the sender can use the receiver's certificate (public key) to encrypt the email, and the receiver uses the own key to decrypt it. It makes the document more confidentiality. As the sender signs the email with own secret key, the receiver verifies the signature with the sender's certificate. Ordinarily, signed email are sent with the sender's own certificate. By using the access authentication, the document will be delivered more security.
